“Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back everything has?" C S Lewis
Halfway through 2022 is the perfect opportunity to pause, observe, review, reflect, evaluate how the year has unfolded so far and recalibrate.
To do so, let’s revisit together the themes of the last 6 months.
January – Time well spent
You are given 525,600 minutes for the whole year. What have you exchanged your time for so far? A quarter of a million minutes are still available to you for the rest of 2022. What will you do with it?
February – A touch of Gentleness
Did you pick a “companion word” for the year? Is it still by your side? Would another one feel better suited for the next 6 months? Mine was “gentleness” and it is present in all areas of my life.
March – Digital Amnesia
What we don’t need to remember is easily forgotten. Give your brain a boost, commit to memory pieces of information that you might have outsourced to technology until now (eg. a phone number or a birthday).
April – Infobesity
How is your information and news intake? Do you “consume information consciously”?
Before sharing something, pass it through the 3 sieves of Socrates: Is it true? kind? necessary?
May – Unfolding
Regularly check-in with yourself if any physical or mental tensions have gone un-noticed. Take small actions to unfold and strengthen your wellbeing muscle.
June – Mora Mora
Have you ever experienced a day disconnected from your technology? What feelings did this trigger? As you disconnect, what do you reconnect to?
